Winter's precipitation can lead to many road hazards. We the people depend on clear salted roads to arrive at are destination safely and efficiency. We also depend on are goods being able to reach are remote towns even in the dead of winter. But, have you ever thought of the affects of road salt to the ecosystem. To much road salt can effect are sources of water, plants, and fish and game. Over the next couple of weeks we are going to conduct tests to see what are local rivers salinity levels and come up with different solutions to minimize road salt runoff.
